Birthday Celebrations

Since Lisa, Katie and myself all have birthdays within a week of one another we have traditionally held a joint celebration for the family. This year it was held at our house and several family members and friends joined us for the festivities.

Lisa made an awsome pasta dish and everyone enjoyed the bread and fruit salads. Of course no Birthday party at our home is complete without a "Brenda" cake. This year Lisa had challenged her to make a single cake that included three distinct themes. One theme for each of us. Of course, Brenda has never let us down. Here is the final result of her extraordinary effort. You'll notice the Motorcycle is for me, the Neckless and earrings for Lisa and of course the peace signs and lime green color for Katie.

My brother Norm and I talked for a while and caught up on olden times. It's always nice to visit with him. Dave and Tish Larsen graced us with their company as well. That's a special treat for us since they have to come from so far away. We really appreciate them taking the time to travel all that way just to visit with us. It's why we consider them such great friends! Rob, Holli and Sam were also there as well as Lisa's Cousin Luke, who made the journey from Vernal. It was great to see him again.

Even the Summer Dogg got into the action!

Katie's grand gift was her new ipod. (Probably won't be hearing much from her for a few months, although a thank you would be nice!)

Soo...all in all it was a great birthday party. For those of you who didn't come, we are still accepting presents, feel free to drop them by or deliver. We are also will to pick them up directly for a nominal fee!!

So when you say that you and Norm caught up on the olden times, why didn't you use that opportunity to tell all your faithful readers about the olden times. How did you function in 1912? Did any of your family members end up in an iron lung due to the absense of the polio vaccine? What was is like during the great depression? Please tell, so I can tell my 12 Yeamanite children about what you and your ancestors did for this great nation.

P.S. The cake is phenomenal. Brenda definately has a gift! Oh, and Happy birthday to 3 of the 4 Raymo family members.

Happy B-day. Love the cake. It looks like a older Honda Shadow. One of the best bikes ever built. Any way, I would have told you in person, but you have this thing for calling in sick latley. Sam c
